Puzzling Pretzels

One of my favorite snack foods in the world has to be none other than a soft pretzel. In Florida we really don't have true handmade, soft pretzels. We have some chain stores in malls that make them but it is not the same.

Since I have been in New Jersey/Philadelphia I have had a few really amazing pretzels. They make them up here and they are so good. Also, on the street in Philly, they are only fifty cents!!! I have been so happy and trying to find them anywhere I go before I go home. Today I was at Target and they had pretzels. I excitedly bought one only to get it and was so disappointed. It was horrible. It was burnt and hard and tasted like they made them days ago and put them in a toaster too long to heat them. I didn't want to cause any problems so I didn't take it back. I was there with my cousin who had also gotten a pretzel for her son and his was equally as terrible. Worse, she told me that any time she has gotten a pretzel for him from a Target, they have been equally awful.

So, I didn't mean to complain, but the moral of the story is, do not get pretzels at Target, it will only leave you disappointed.

Sorry for the slight rant but it is late and this was on my mind. You will be getting something better tomorrow, I promise. :)

Hope you are having a wonderful day!!

I Vanished!!!!

Wow, what a crazy few weeks it has been!! I am on vacation right now in New Jersey and haven't had any internet, oh my! How am I surviving?! All kidding aside, this vacation has been a lot of fun and getting to spend time with family is a real treat. Since I've been here we have celebrated my nine year old cousins birthday, my 18th birthday, Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Today was another one of my cousins birthdays and Sunday is another! Then it is New Years! Things have been crazy since the moment I got here! I am hoping to write up and queue some posts tonight but I am not sure if I will be able to. Thank you for hanging in there with me during my slight hiatus, I promise that after I get back January 4th, things will be going back to normal. Also I have a HUGE announcement coming up on December 31st so make sure to keep an eye out for that!! It will be on here and also on my youtube.com/lovefromkelsey channel. Hope your holidays are going well and I look forward to things going back to normal soon!

Much love,
Kelsey

I'm on the case: iPhone 5c Cases

As some of you will know from my review of it, I have the iPhone 5c in blue. I ran into a problem when trying to find cases for it. To begin, there are not many out yet because the shape is slightly different than the 5/5s. Also I wanted one that wouldn't hide the color of the phone. I took to ebay to try to find some cases that fit that criteria and that were not too expensive. I ended up getting two fantastic cases.

The first was a basic ombre pink to clear case. I wasn't sure how it would look but it was inexpensive enough to give it a try. I ended up loving it. It gave it a look where it went from purple at the top to te natural blue at the bottom. This is the case that i use for most every day because it is light weight.

The second one that I have is a much more blinged out one that I love but it makes it harder to fit in my pocket.

What does your phone case look like? Do you opt for a pretty one or go for the more safe ones like an otter box?

Forever 21+: The Best Plus Sized Clothing

I know that Forever 21 is a staple in any teenage girls closet but if you happen to be of bigger size like myself, for any reason, all I can say is that their plus sized line is nothing shy of fantastic. I have fallen head over heels for most of the clothes and have bought a lot of them already.

This is going to be a bit of a tangent but I feel like this is a place that it would fit. I have been insecure about my size from the time I was in kindergarten. There is nothing I hate more than someone judging people on their size for many reasons. First, you never know what the cause is. For me, I have many medical issues such as a thyroid condition and other metabolic and hormonal disorders that cause weight gain as well on being on medicine that does the thing. But the thing is, no matter what the reason is, it is no one's business. If people are happy with how they look then that is all that matters.

Okay, tangent aside, I have always been one to hide behind a lack of fashion. I have always loved fashion and followed it closely but I have been too scared to ever dress in anything that would show things about my body i didn't love, also there is a lack of plus sized clothes in the style I love. That is why I am loving Forever 21+ so much. I thought I would share some of the pieces that I got that I am loving to death. There will also be a video coming soon with all of them.

There were more but they are out of stock so you will just have to wait for my video! So, if you are off bigger size like myself, you need to check out Forever 21+ because it is reasonable and will make you feel really good about yourself.

Favorite App Right Now || Tech Thursday

Hello all! As someone that has just recently entered into the world of smartphones that also means I am just entering into the world of apps. I have tried lots of the favorites that I have not liked *cough* Candy Crush *cough* but I have found one that I love.

If you love fashion, specifically designer fashion, as much as I do you have to check out Covet: The Game. In this game you enter challenges, get ratings and money to expand your closet. The best part about this game is that unlike all other fashion games I have come across, the clothing and accessories in this game are the true designer ones.

I have been playing this obsessively since I got my phone and I am SO EXCITED that my closet value is over $10,000! It took me so long to get there! Also, the app is free so there is no risk! I hope you will try it out and let me know if you like it as much as I do.

Let me know what apps you love, preferably free because I am currently jobless but that is another post for another day, and I would love to try them out!

New Lip Obsession

Morning blog friends! I'm afraid I have some catching up to do today, things have been a tad crazy on my part. Also I just wanted to let you know that I am going to be on vacation from December 18th to January 4th. I am going to try to queue as many post as I can for that time but if there is a break in posting, at least you know why. But now, on to the fun things!!

On Black Friday I was in Ulta and got distracted by a display of a new product. I tested it and fell in love and had to buy it. This product was the Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm. All I can say is that this product is amazing. I got it in the color Unapologetic and it is a beautiful orangy, pink coral color. It is crazy pigmented and even with eating and drinking, the color lasts like a stain. It doesn't feel tacky or sticky and I pretty much forget I am wearing it, a nice treat for such a pigmented, rich color. I also love that it is truly matte.

The color I have is the second from the top.

It is easy to apply and I don't have to worry about repplication all the time. I am loving this and give it a total A+.

Give it a try and let me know what you think! Hope you are having a fantastic day!

Top 5 Tuesday: Top 5 Shows for a Sick Day

As I sit here slightly under the weather and watching Gossip Girl on Netflix I thought what a better time than to talk about my top 5 favorite shows for a day in bed.

Number One: Gossip Girl
This show is addictive. I have see. Every episode but I always love going back. Today I started at the beginning. It's a fantastic teen drama but there is also a mystery.

Number 2: Keeping Up With the Kardashians or any other Kardashian show
Say what you want but I'm a convert. I love this family. The show is the perfect hilarious, mindless entertainment that is perfect for when you are feeling under the weather.

Number 3: Gilmore Girls
This is my all time favorite show. I have seen every episode ten times and I honestly believe that Lorelai Gilmore is the best tv character ever. I am still not over the end of this show.

Number 4: How I Met Your Mother
This is my favorite comedy. Sadly this show is coming to an end just like some of my other picks but this is always the best if you need a laugh. And Neil Patrick Harris is a fantastic human.

Number 5: Grey's Anatomy
If you are looking for never ending drama and characters you can't help but fall in love with, this is the show for you. Although I am mad at them for killing off my favorite character, don't worry, no spoilers, I have always had this as a staple favorite.

So what are some of your favorite shows or movies for when you aren't feelings great? I'd love to know and check them out!

Thanks for reading, see you tomorrow!

Midnight Memories: Musical Mondays Music Review

Hello blog friends! Today is the first day of the new chapter of the blog!! I, for one, am so excited!

Today, being Monday, is all about music. Now, I bounced back and and forth between writing about all sorts of things but I landed on a review of a new CD. Okay, before I dig myself so far into the whole of being a stereotypical teenage girl let me explain my choice. I got a new CD and thought about if I should review it on here. So, I decided that I wanted to post what I thought about it.

The CD I am talking about is Midnight Memories by One Direction. Before half of you sigh and click away, I think you should hear me out. Going into this, their third album, I was a tad skeptical. Don't get me wrong, I had a point where I was the biggest One Direction fan that you could come across. I knew about them from the start, I fangirled when Up All Night came out and I was one of the lucky ones to get tickets to the Up All Night tour. Then, however, Take Me Home came along and while most fans heard it and loved it, I heard Up All Night with different lyrics. I felt that it was the same generic pop-manufactured sound that the first album had and it felt lack luster in everything except their ever evident talent. I pulled away from being a fan at this point. I still considered myself a One Direction fan but my allegiance had changed. They were no longer number one in my heart and no longer occupied the space on my walls. Now, maybe it was growing up or maybe it was that I love music with heart but the only songs I was impressed with were the songs written by Ed Sheeran, my all time musical idol.

This brings us to Midnight Memories. Still I consider myself a fan and I wanted to hear what they had to offer. My mom bought it for me while we were out Black Friday shopping and I listened to it on Saturday. I considered this as a sort of last chance for One Direction, they either knock me off my feet or I walk away. I am both happy (and a little sad) to say that they blew me away. Song after song I was loving it with every fiber of my being. At this moment I think my favorite song is You and I (although Story of My Life has been a constant favorite since I first heard it). I love that they kept their pop roots while also taking influence from the indie rock that I love oh so much.

In conclusion I am nothing short of in love with this CD. It has been on repeat all weekend and I don't see it leaving anytime soon.

On another note, if you want a post on my 1D Concert Experience let me know, it would be a blast to look back on that day I shared with my mom and one of my best friends.

Hope you are having an amazing day and I am looking forward to tomorrows post.

Much love,
Kelsey xo

I See The Future?

Hello they internet amigas. I hope you have been well. I have been home trying to recoup from some surgery so things have been slow. This has, however given me time to think about the future of this blog. I have been thinking about doing a weekly schedule so you know what you are getting each day. I know how much I love having something to look forward to (and a plan to keep me sane (; ). So, without further ado, here we go!

Mondays, the day best known for begrudging alarm clocks and the beginning of the work week, will now start out on a lovely musical note. It may be a review or an insight into something I am going through in my musical journey.

Tuesdays are going to be Top 5 Tuesdays. This means that there is going to be a topic and I am going to give you my top five. It could be anything from current songs to apps to lipstick.

Speaking of lipstick....Wednesdays are going to be beauty. It could be a makeup look or hair style or anything beauty.

Thursdays we are going to be diving into the world of technology. Computers, cameras, video games, OH MY!

Fridays are going to be fashion Friday (here we go again with the alliteration). This will encompass clothes hauls, OOTD's and everything fashion.

Saturday is going to be my random, fun day. You'll never know quite what you are getting on a Saturday. It could be a review, it could be a DIY, who knows! You'll have to make sure to come back and see the surprise.

Sunday is going to be a day of reflection. It'll be a look back at the week that just passed and a look ahead at what's coming. Anything that I've wanted to talk about or announce will be on this day and it will be a nice calm ending to the blog week.

So, are you excited?? I am very excited about what's coming up and this schedule will start this Monday (so the rest of the posts this week will still be random). One thing, this is a plan. There will be certain times where things will fall on others days and that's fine, we are flexible.

I am so excited to be putting my all into this blog and I hope you are as excited as I am. There are many fun things coming up including a giveaway soon and I know that it is going to be amazing.

I love you for reading and supporting so far and I promise there are amazing things to come!

Much love,
Kelsey xo

Makeup Review and Look: CoverGirl Clean Sensitive Skin Foundation

Hello my dears, today we are back with a more typical blog post. As I am still feeling most under the weather it is not the typical Monday mode and is just kind of a fun product review. The rest of this week will most likely be a tad random and then next week I will be introducing my typical weekly schedule!! Are you as excited as I am?? Without further ado, let's jump into my review of CoverGirl's Clean Sensitive Skin foundation.

Let me apologize in advance for the lower quality photos as these were taken in poor light on my iPhone.

I was at Walgreens today and of course, I had to stop by the makeup to see if there were any sales. I came across this foundation that I had never used. Best of all, it was on sale for $3.99. To be honest, I have never had the best luck with the traditional liquid foundation and have stuck more to bb creams and cream or mousse foundations. I was intrigued to try this because it was a sensitive skin formula.

Off the bat, I had an issue with the design of the bottle. There was no pump or anything and I had to shake the bottle for about 5 minutes to get the slightest amount out and then had to repeat. The flaw in the design is a minor detail to me.

The formula was very creamy which was a plus to me. I used my Real Techniques Expert Face brush to apply and it went on very smoothly. It covered the redness of my skin very well which is always a big concern for me. I would say the coverage is about medium which is perfect for me on a regular day. It applied quickly and easily and I was already pleased.

Without any face makeup

With foundation (I also had some eye makeup on)

I loved the finish and the coverage and I think it sat well on my skin. It was fairly matte but still looked natural. I am definitely going to be using this foundation and highly recommend it.

I then went and completed the look the way I typically would.

I started by using my DreamLumi concealer.

Next I set it with my All About Matt translucent powder.

My next step was to add bronzer. I use the bronzer from my Sephoa Palette. (The top of the photo)

To complete my face I used a touch of blush, also from the same palette. (The bottom color in the photo)

Finally I finished my look with some eyeliner (Ulta Gel liner in Primetime), a touch of mascara (Benefit They're Real) and some lipstick (Ulta Lipstick in 237).

It is a fairly simple and clean look but I love it. If I am going out during the day and wearing makeup, I typically wear a look like this.

I hope you are having a fantastic Monday and I will talk to you tomorrow.

Kelsey

P.S. In just a little bit I will be posting the weekly schedule that I will be using starting next week.

Doing things that scare you

Hello all. Yes, I know I have been gone but I have a very good reason. I am going to plead medical excuse and explain everything in a post soon.

I was actually just laying in my bed here and having a little think session that inspired me. Today I did something that absolutely terrified me. It was a good thing and something that I knew in my heart of hearts would go well, but it scared me. It went about as amazing as it could have and now I am left with this amazing feeling.

I honestly believe that there is nothing more incredible than the feeling of accomplishing something that previously scared the pants off of you. I was just reflecting on what an amazing thing I did for myself and how much better I feel now. Looking back now at the pain and anxiety I put myself through before just doing it seems like such a waste now.

I guess what this long babble comes down to is, if there is something you want to do, do it. If there is something you want to tell someone, tell them. Most of the time the results are going to be so much better than you expected and you will feel so at piece after, and for the times it doesn't go that way, there will always be people around to help you back up.

Don't delay, no day is a given and why should you waste a second worrying about things you can't control. Be yourself and let others see the real you, I promise it'll be the best choice you ever make.

I love you.

A Little Bit of Insight

As I sit here alone in a fast food place staring at the chicken caesar salad that they managed to make look unappetizing, I can't help but think, "What should I write about today?" For my first two days I had my cutsey alliterations but here I sit, waiting for my ride and completely blank on what to write about. I have spent the last 20 minutes trying to come up with something that starts with a W and alas I have decided to talk about work.

Yes, I am 17 and a senior in high school, but I also have a job. As anyone that currently is or has ever been a teenager can tell you, there is nothing better than the freedom that comes with being able to afford things on your own. Now, my school situation is a bit different than most (another post for another day) and this has allowed me much more flexibility in getting a job. Let me preface this whole thing with "I am not in any way saying there is anything bad about the typical jobs available to students, I just feel very blessed to have a different job."

I have the joy of being a nanny to a wonderful, almost 2 year old boy. I, of course, am not going to give any names or pictures of him but let me just tell you, the second you see him, you absolutely fall in love with him. Today was my first day back to work in a week because they had been away and there was nothing better than the greeting I got from him when he saw me. I have been watching him for about 8 months now and I can't help it, I have gotten very attached. No, the job is never easy. You are constantly responsible for a small life. I have no idea how parents do it. There are certainly it's challenges (as I sit here, my arms and legs are covered in blue Thomas the train stamps, who knows when those will wear off) but it is also extremely rewarding.

When I started in February he was only speaking in his own little baby language and couldn't walk on his own. Today he ran up to me and told me he wanted to have a "conversation" and then told me all about his vacation. Being able to see the development is truly amazing and a complete gift. I love the fact that every day when I get to work, he has something new to tell me. Today I taught him how to say ""garbanzo beans."

It is very different than the babysitting jobs I was looking for when I posted a flyer in my dad's office, but it is 100 times more amazing. We sit and play guitar together. I teach him new songs and he dances around. He has even started asking me for "rection" because I may or may not have played him a One Direction song on my phone. I guess he liked it!

There is nothing better than getting to work and having his mom tell me that he was asking for me because that means I have done my job well. Beyond making sure that he stays safe, it is also my responsibility to make sure I am keeping him engaged and teach him. We are working on letters and counting right now.

I'm not going to lie, it is not an easy job by any stretch of the imagination, but I woudn't trade it for any other job I could have right now. Not a chance.

I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about my life and what I do.

Much love,
Kelsey <3

iPhone 5c: Tech Tuesday

Hello blog friends how was your Monday? Mine was busy but enjoyable. Today I wanted to take a few minutes and write about my newest love, my iPhone. A week ago Sunday I upgraded out of the stone age and got my first ever smartphone. Now, I know what you are thinking, "I didn't think there was anyone left that still owned a flip phone." Well, there are. Me and 7 other people still had flip phones and got together to commiserate about it monthly. All joking aside, I was very excited to upgrade to a new phone.

I was planning on getting the iPhone 5. I had been previously led to believe that the 5c was not as good of a phone as the 5. It turned out that after further research I learned that the two phones are exactly the same, but the 5c was made with a colored, plastic backing instead of the traditional metal. Being the complete girl that I am, I wanted to get a phone my favorite color and behold, my blue iPhone 5c.

The first night I had it I quite possibly spent 10 hours on it and forgot to sleep. I am neither confirming nor denying that fact ;) Coming from such a basic phone, anything I got would have been an amazing upgrade but I feel confident that I got the best phone for me.

Obviously it is hard for me to review it because coming from a very, very old phone with no features, everything on the 5c seems amazing. One thing that I love is the camera. As an avid photographer and videographer, the ability to have a good quality, 8 megapixel camera with me at all times is fantastic. This eliminates the need to carry the 10 megapixel "every day" I used to have with me at all times. The camera is clear as can be, has great focus, and some of the most impressive depth of field I have seen on a lens of its class.

It wouldn't be an iPhone review without mentioning Siri. I absolutely love being able to tell my phone to do something and have it done. I am the kind of person that makes lists for everything and uses calendars religiously. Being able to tell Siri to schedule something and not having to do it myself is amazing. Also sometimes I use it as pure entertainment. If you haven't asked Siri, "knock, knock," yet, you are missing out.

One other thing that I love SO MUCH is how much you can personalize your phone. I never had the option of changing ringtones to anything custom and my old camera was so bad that taking pictures for my background was not a good idea. Now when someone calls me the chorus of "Still Into You" by Paramore plays, texts play the beginning notes of "Thinkin Bout You", and my lock screen is the lovely Ed Sheeran. I have left the background as the one that came with the phone because i really like the blue to green gradient dots.

I have had the most amazing time downloading way too many apps and spending way too much time on them. I started with the current classic, Candy Crush. I wasn't a huge fan in all honesty. Temple Run Two is a different story. I am obsessed with this game. Any time I have some downtime, I am most likely playing it. There are also a bunch of apps that are great for more productive things than gaming. There is an app for my bank account which I love. Run keeper is fantastic. I used to have to use my iPod and my Nike+ sensor in my shoe but the GPS works much better. I may be just a tad addicted to the ebay app but I am also just a tad bit addicted to Ebay. The EBay design on the phone is streamlined and efficient and to my surprise I believe I prefer it over using my laptop to shop. I have all of my social media in one place and I am finally getting to use Instagram!!! This is very exciting to me seeing as I have never been able to use it until now. Also Kik is fantastic for talking to friends without using up texts.

Overall I absolutely love my new phone. There are only 2 negatives that I can even think of and they are not the fault of Apple. One is that the screen is ridiculously hard to keep clean. Seriously, it isn't possible. Second, because of the plastic design, cases for the 5 and 5s do not fit the 5c and has made it harder to find a case that I love. Besides that this phone is fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone.

Much love,
Kelsey <3

Opening for Little Mix: The Best Day of My Life

Why hello there again blog friends, look at me, blogging two days in a row. Today I wanted to fill you in on one of the most amazing things that has EVER happened to me.

As you may know, I am a massive fan of the UK girl group, Little Mix. They have been very big inspirations to me and I absolutely love their music. Well............back in March/early April they started a competition, Mixers Magnets. It was a contest to get Little Mix to come to your country. Myself along with many other amazing US Mixers fought tirelessly to get the United States to won, and we did! The next stage of the contest came in deciding where Little Mix would visit. There was a list of cities announced and the closest to me was Miami which is about a 5 hour drive. I took part in the first few challenges but the big moment came for me when they announced a cover contest! Being a singer I jumped on this right away. I quickly started rehearsing and working hard to make their song Wings, my own. There was only one small problem, I GOT THE DEADLINE WRONG. I thought that I had another full day to properly film a video but instead I found out at 5pm at my dad's office that the entry was due at 6pm! Luckily there was an old guitar there and I had my laptop. Thinking fast I balanced a few boxes on top of each other as a make-shift tripod for my laptop and sat on top of an exam table to film with the old, lousy guitar. After quick editing and rendering, I got the video in literally 5 minutes before the deadline. Thinking nothing of it, I went home and had dinner and then went on twitter. I didn't know why but my interactions were blowing up. People were tweeting me things like "THEY POSTED ABOUT YOU" and "CONGRATS" and I was incredibly confused. I finally saw one tweet saying something about my cover and almost had a heart attack. I remember running into my parents room and yelling "I THINK I WON BUT I AM NOT SURE" and running back to my room to check. Sure enough, I had won. The girls had watched and picked my cover as their favorite in the country! I was so excited and overwhelmed that I cried for quite a long time. It meant the world to me and gave me the biggest validation as a singer. They even posted my cover on their website.

The Winning Cover

I went on with my normal life not thinking about it more than to make myself happy from the memory. Then, Miami won the contest! My mom was amazing and said she would drive me across the state to see them perform. The concert was on 6/1/12. We have family that live about half way so were were going to leave the night before and stay with them. My dad was going to stay home with our dog. An hour before we were supposed to leave I got a DM on twitter from them asking me if I was coming to the event. I told them that I was and they sent me a message asking me if I could bring my guitar because the girls would like to hear my cover!!!! I got really excited and replied that I could for sure and they asked me to call a phone number. I quickly called and the next thing that happened blew my mind. I was asked if I would open for them the next day in Miami. I feel bad for the person on the other side of the phone. I just kept asking them "Are you serious?" and he started to laugh. The first thing I did was call my dad and tell him. I am pretty sure that he started crying. I wanted to wait until my mom got home so that I could see her face. I also called one of my best friends and told her and then I just started crying while on the phone because I couldn't believe what was happening.

We quickly called my cousins and asked them if they could watch our dog so that my dad could come and then we headed to my cousins house, me, my mom and dad, and our dog Maddie all in the car with our bags. I posted on facebook what was happening and the entire ride to their house I had almost everyone I know calling me asking me about it. The night was a blur and sleep was nonexistent. All I remember is obsessing over how I was going to do my hair.

I set my alarm for 4 am to get up and get ready so that we could be on the road by 7. I was excited and hyper and emotional but there was one thing I wasn't, and that was nervous. We headed out on our way to Miami and I would like to say sorry to my parents because I know I talked the entire car ride. We got lost in a scary section of Miami but we finally made it to the mall where the concert was being held.

When we got there, 4 hours before it started, the line was already huge. I walked to go get in line but my dad went up to the check in table and said to the people "Hi, my daughter is opening today," and the next thing I know the guy that I had talked to on the phone came over. He got us checked in and told me to come back in about 2 hours for sound check. We went into the mall where I bought a very cool Wings inspired necklace from Forever 21 to wear to perform and just walked around until it was time to go back. We went back at 2 and it was time to sound check. I went up on stage in front of the couple thousand people that were already there and started to play and sing for about 20 seconds. Even though it wasn't very long, people started to cheer and if it was possible, I got even more excited. Next I got interviewed by a few people and someone from the radio station until they brought me to the room backstage where we stayed until it was time to perform. We hung out with Little Mix's guitar player Curtis who was as nice as can be. Time seemed to move so slowly while I was waiting. Then they came and gave me a 10 minute warning and told me that after I performed, they would take me to meet the girls. I had been so excited about performing, I had almost forgotten that I was going to get to meet my idols. At this point I took a few deep breaths and got ready to go out and perform. The next thing I knew I was waiting side stage as they introduced me and the place started cheering.

I went out on stage and played my cover of Wings that won the contest and let me tell you, there is nothing more terrifying than playing a cover of a song in front of the artist and 5,000 of their biggest fans. I nailed it if I do say so myself. At the end the most amazing thing happened, the entire place started chanting my name. That is the kind of thing I have dreamed about since I was 4 years old and it actually happened.

Amazing sign that someone made for me

Me onstage

After this I got to watch Little Mix perform from the side of the stage and they were amazing. When they finished the person that I had been talking to all day that had told me where to go and what to do told me to come with him, that the girls wanted to meet me. They brought me back into the room I had been in and there they were. I tried my best to stay calm but it was hard. I had made them each hats and I was able to give them to them. The most amazing thing is that the girls knew who I was when I met them. They told me that they loved my cover and loved how I changed it up and I was pretty much speechless. They each gave me a hug and we took pictures and they signed my CD and magazine and it was incredible.

I even had a couple of surreal moments during the weekend. Before I performed I had two people to stop me to take a picture because they recognized me and that was pretty amazing. I also had people stop me on the way out when they realized I was the one that sang. The next morning, we had stayed at a hotel, my dad and I went down to the lobby for breakfast. I was tired and too lazy to change out of sweat pants or do my hair and makeup because I knew no one would notice. Well, half way through a few girls came up to me and asked if I was Kelsey that opened for Little Mix!!!! I suddenly wished that I had at least put on some makeup, haha.

It was the most amazing thing ever and then it got more amazing. I received an email on that Monday  letting me know that my interviews and performance were going to be made into a My Day, My Life episode for Teen.com!!!! This is a series that I watch and love and that has been done on a lot of my biggest idols and now it was going to be on me. It came out about two weeks later and had almost 20,000 views overnight.

This entire experience has been one of the most amazing things to ever happen to me and I am so thankful to everyone that made it happen especially Little Mix, their management at Columbia Records and most of all my parents for making it all happen. I got to live out my dream and now that I've had a taste of it, I want it even more. I also vlogged my experience so  I will make sure to link that at the end of the post along with the Little Mix website post about my cover and the My Day, My Life episode.

I had so much fun getting to relive this while writing this post and I hope you liked it! I think I am going to make sure to post about something music related every Monday and make it Music Mondays.

Much love,

Hello again?

Well you know what they say, the third time is the charm. I think I am going to give this blog thing another try because I absolutely love reading blogs. The next few months should be a bit wild and even if no one reads it, I'll be glad to have this to look back on. So I hope that if you are reading this you come along for the ride with me. My life is not exactly normal and there may be some people out there that find it kind of interesting. I know this was short but I wanted to keep the "I'm starting again" post short. I am going to be posting a pretty cool post about something amazing that happened and trust me, you will want to read it.
I hope you are having a wonderful night.
Lots of love,
Kelsey <3

Where Have I Been?

I am going to pretend that there were people that read my first two post, decided they liked them, and then wondered why I stopped posting.
Honestly, I thought I had a lot more interesting things to write about than I actually did. I also underestimated the time commitment. Here is the exciting part now! Some very exciting things have happened in my life and I want very much to fill you in and take you along on this journey with me! As you may know, my biggest dream is to be a singer. When I did my first posts I was an absolute no one. I played at open mics in my town and posted some low quality covers that I had recorded on my webcam. Since then a TON has happened! I have had some extremely exciting opportunities and it looks like more are on the way. I have had amazing support from family and friends and the most amazing is the support I have had from complete strangers, people that willingly call themselves fans *GASP*
Well, there are many exciting things that I will be writing about in the next few days and then continuing on as they happen.
I hope you will come along on this exciting journey with me!
Much love. xx Kelsey. <3

5 Beauty Items I Can't Live Without

There are so many fantastic beauty products that I couldn't even begin to put them all in one post so I thought I would start off with my top 5. These products are ones that I have been using for a long time and love. They span makeup, skincare, and hair. Hopefully this will inspire you to try at least one of these products.

1. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-In-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector

This is by far my favorite foundation or bb cream. I have tried many and I always come back to this one. I actually received a sample of it and didn't think much of it so I just put it in my drawer. One day I ran out of my other bb cream so I thought I would give it a try and I LOVED it. The coverage was enough to blur any blemishes I had but it still felt light and natural. I am on my 3rd one and I know it won't be my last. I wear the shade medium.

2. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

I was late on the Naked Palette train. I never bought the first one and I wasn't going to get the 2nd. I ended up buying it with a gift card after the Tarte one I wanted was sold out. It turns out that was one of the best things. All of the colors are amazing and pigmented. I use every single color and there are so many combinations. This is what I take with me any time I go anywhere and it is perfect. I can't imagine not using it.

3. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

I have to do a lot to keep my skin clear and it is a rather intense process. This is the first thing I use in the morning before I do my makeup and part of my nighttime skin routine. It is a great cleanser and keeps my skin nice and soft. I love it and have two bottles of it one in my shower and one by the sink. I give it an A++

4. Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum

This is a life saver. My hair is a major pain and frizzy. I put this in before I straighten or curl my hair and it keeps it shiny and not frizzy. I have frizzy, hard to manage hair and this keeps it nice all day.

5. Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick-Kate Moss Collection in shade 014

This is my go to lipstick. It is a pinky nude color. It looks great by itself or you can put a nude or clear sparkly gloss over it to spice it up a little. I always carry this with me in my bag and I probably wear it 7/10 times that I wear lipstick.

There were so many more products that I could have picked but these are my top 5 everyday products.
