I See The Future?

Hello they internet amigas. I hope you have been well. I have been home trying to recoup from some surgery so things have been slow. This has, however given me time to think about the future of this blog. I have been thinking about doing a weekly schedule so you know what you are getting each day. I know how much I love having something to look forward to (and a plan to keep me sane (; ). So, without further ado, here we go!

Mondays, the day best known for begrudging alarm clocks and the beginning of the work week, will now start out on a lovely musical note. It may be a review or an insight into something I am going through in my musical journey.

Tuesdays are going to be Top 5 Tuesdays. This means that there is going to be a topic and I am going to give you my top five. It could be anything from current songs to apps to lipstick.

Speaking of lipstick....Wednesdays are going to be beauty. It could be a makeup look or hair style or anything beauty.

Thursdays we are going to be diving into the world of technology. Computers, cameras, video games, OH MY!

Fridays are going to be fashion Friday (here we go again with the alliteration). This will encompass clothes hauls, OOTD's and everything fashion.

Saturday is going to be my random, fun day. You'll never know quite what you are getting on a Saturday. It could be a review, it could be a DIY, who knows! You'll have to make sure to come back and see the surprise.

Sunday is going to be a day of reflection. It'll be a look back at the week that just passed and a look ahead at what's coming. Anything that I've wanted to talk about or announce will be on this day and it will be a nice calm ending to the blog week.

So, are you excited?? I am very excited about what's coming up and this schedule will start this Monday (so the rest of the posts this week will still be random). One thing, this is a plan. There will be certain times where things will fall on others days and that's fine, we are flexible.

I am so excited to be putting my all into this blog and I hope you are as excited as I am. There are many fun things coming up including a giveaway soon and I know that it is going to be amazing.

I love you for reading and supporting so far and I promise there are amazing things to come!

Much love,
Kelsey xo

Makeup Review and Look: CoverGirl Clean Sensitive Skin Foundation

Hello my dears, today we are back with a more typical blog post. As I am still feeling most under the weather it is not the typical Monday mode and is just kind of a fun product review. The rest of this week will most likely be a tad random and then next week I will be introducing my typical weekly schedule!! Are you as excited as I am?? Without further ado, let's jump into my review of CoverGirl's Clean Sensitive Skin foundation.

Let me apologize in advance for the lower quality photos as these were taken in poor light on my iPhone.

I was at Walgreens today and of course, I had to stop by the makeup to see if there were any sales. I came across this foundation that I had never used. Best of all, it was on sale for $3.99. To be honest, I have never had the best luck with the traditional liquid foundation and have stuck more to bb creams and cream or mousse foundations. I was intrigued to try this because it was a sensitive skin formula.

Off the bat, I had an issue with the design of the bottle. There was no pump or anything and I had to shake the bottle for about 5 minutes to get the slightest amount out and then had to repeat. The flaw in the design is a minor detail to me.

The formula was very creamy which was a plus to me. I used my Real Techniques Expert Face brush to apply and it went on very smoothly. It covered the redness of my skin very well which is always a big concern for me. I would say the coverage is about medium which is perfect for me on a regular day. It applied quickly and easily and I was already pleased.

Without any face makeup

With foundation (I also had some eye makeup on)

I loved the finish and the coverage and I think it sat well on my skin. It was fairly matte but still looked natural. I am definitely going to be using this foundation and highly recommend it.

I then went and completed the look the way I typically would.

I started by using my DreamLumi concealer.

Next I set it with my All About Matt translucent powder.

My next step was to add bronzer. I use the bronzer from my Sephoa Palette. (The top of the photo)

To complete my face I used a touch of blush, also from the same palette. (The bottom color in the photo)

Finally I finished my look with some eyeliner (Ulta Gel liner in Primetime), a touch of mascara (Benefit They're Real) and some lipstick (Ulta Lipstick in 237).

It is a fairly simple and clean look but I love it. If I am going out during the day and wearing makeup, I typically wear a look like this.

I hope you are having a fantastic Monday and I will talk to you tomorrow.

Kelsey

P.S. In just a little bit I will be posting the weekly schedule that I will be using starting next week.

Doing things that scare you

Hello all. Yes, I know I have been gone but I have a very good reason. I am going to plead medical excuse and explain everything in a post soon.

I was actually just laying in my bed here and having a little think session that inspired me. Today I did something that absolutely terrified me. It was a good thing and something that I knew in my heart of hearts would go well, but it scared me. It went about as amazing as it could have and now I am left with this amazing feeling.

I honestly believe that there is nothing more incredible than the feeling of accomplishing something that previously scared the pants off of you. I was just reflecting on what an amazing thing I did for myself and how much better I feel now. Looking back now at the pain and anxiety I put myself through before just doing it seems like such a waste now.

I guess what this long babble comes down to is, if there is something you want to do, do it. If there is something you want to tell someone, tell them. Most of the time the results are going to be so much better than you expected and you will feel so at piece after, and for the times it doesn't go that way, there will always be people around to help you back up.

Don't delay, no day is a given and why should you waste a second worrying about things you can't control. Be yourself and let others see the real you, I promise it'll be the best choice you ever make.

I love you.
